Engagement Ring Shopping
Oct. 24th, 2010 01:02 pmThis would be the third Sunday in as many weeks that Pike found himself going to every jewelry store in Mojave and the surrounding towns looking for the perfect engagement ring. Honestly, he was surprised that Morgan hadn't asked where he was going.
She was difficult to shop for, and everything the jewelers had shown him was just not her for some reason or other. Some were too flashy, she didn't need multi-colored stones or something so big that looked like it would eat her finger. She'd mostly wear it with her uniform, and he didn't want something that would get in the way or detract from the air of authority she had to maintain aboard ship. This whole thing was much too stressful.
After another few hours of hunting Pike finally found a ring that was perfect. A blue stone in the center, with two diamond accents. It wasn't too flashy, simply designed and as he paid for it, hoped that Morgan would like it.
Now all he had to do was ask. Talk about stress...
